Before starting this business Hugh Lerwill worked for over twenty years in the field of Construction Materials Testing as Technician and Engineer. With the advent of Personal Computing in the early 1980's the opportunity was seen to create a database system to process the data passing through a typical Materials Testing Laboratory. The original Dos based GRADLAB system was initially developed during 1987 in working laboratories and was first marketed in 1992, the 16 bit Windows based GDS system was released in 1999 and converted to 32 bit software in 2001. Development of the system is user driven and suggestions for improvement are frequently taken up and incorporated into the standard product. |
